GREAT Dentist in San Diego!

Dr Olaes is AWESOME! She is gentle and very knowledgable of dentistry. I went to her when I had problems with my wisdom teeth. She was honest in telling me what I needed done and what could wait so that I didn't spend a ton of money all in one visit (I was concerned financially how expensive dentist bills can run). Not only did she clean my teeth better than any other dentist had ever cleaned them EVER (I am 30) but she called me a day or two later to make sure everything was OK (that I was in no pain etc). Her office staff is great as well, very friendly and helpful. I normally hate the dentist but heck, I am not scared for my next cleaning and actually am happy to have the time away (from the kids! LOL). who can say that about their dentist?? Highly recommended!

Dr Olaes is a great dentist with experience working with adults and children. She has a great staff. Her office manager Debbie provides excellent customer service! Just an all around wonderful experience. I would recommend Dr Olaes.

Dr. Irene Olaes and Staff are outstanding!
I was new to the area and was enthusiastically referred by a co-worker to Dr. Olaes. Scared of dentist in general, especially new dentists, I made several appointments. To my astonishment, I actually find myself looking forward to going to the dentist.
Dr Olaes and Staff (Jenny & Debbie) are amazing. The are all accommodating, conscientious, and pain free! Aside from being excellent practitioners, they are kind, warm and welcoming.
I have dealt with several small businesses both professionally and personally and this office has a corner on what it means to exceed expectations. My co-worker said it best, "you feel like you are going to visit friends...not the dentist".
If you have been seeing the same dentist for years "just because" or you are new to the area, I would highly recommend making an appointment with Dr. Olaes.

I picked Dr. Olaes’ practice out of my insurance list of providers. I did not have a referral and did not know anyone else that had been to see her. I have been a patient for 3 years. The office is nice, neat and clean. You know exactly what your costs for each procedure are before you have any work done. The dentist uses the latest technology and the cleaning that is done is definitely better than I’ve ever had in my past. (Maybe because Dr. Olaes wears these magnifying binoculars and has a steady hand.) I believe you will have a great experience with this practice. My teeth have never been better and Debbie (one of the office staff) is credited with getting me to floss daily instead of when something got stuck between my teeth. Maybe that’s more then you need to know, but rest assured you are in good hands here in this Carmel Mountain Ranch dentistry office near Home Depot/Costco.

This review is late but here it goes; I am a Delta Dental (TRICARE) patient in the Rancho Bernardo area since May 2009. In July 2009, one Friday evening, I was eating a hardshell taco when my back tooth had broken off. I called many dentists in the area who when they heard I was with Delta Dental had told me they were fully booked and could not see me. Dr Olaes on the other hand cheerfully took on my case, saw me on a Saturday and as it turned out it was major work to be done to save the tooth since I had cracked it all the way down to the bone. It was a big job and despite the trauma to the tooth, my being a difficult patient, she did manage to save my tooth. She is one of the most kind, caring, compassionate dentist that I have seen in a long time. She is an example for other dentist in the area to look up to.
